1. Scope of Service – What BRCAthrough™ The Noise Is (and Isn’t)
BRCAthrough™ The Noise offers trauma-informed coaching and emotional resilience support for individuals navigating BRCA gene mutations, hereditary cancer risk, and related life choices.
This is not:
- Medical advice
- Genetic counselling
- Therapy, counselling, or crisis intervention
- Legal or financial advice
I am not a doctor, genetic counsellor, therapist, or medical professional. Nothing in this service replaces medical advice.
If you need clinical advice or urgent support, please contact your GP, NHS Genetic Counsellor, or an appropriate healthcare professional. For emergencies or emotional crisis, contact:

2. Coaching Relationship – Responsibilities and Boundaries
Coaching is a collaborative, non-clinical process. I will support you in reflection, emotional resilience, and decision-making. However, you remain responsible for your own actions, health decisions, and wellbeing.
By using this service, you agree to:
- Take personal responsibility for your choices
- Understand that coaching complements—but does not replace—clinical advice
- Acknowledge that coaching outcomes cannot be guaranteed
Safeguarding and Duty of Care
Your safety and wellbeing are my priority. If, during coaching, I believe you may need support beyond the coaching scope (for example, from medical professionals or specialist mental health services), I will encourage you to seek this and can help signpost you.
Insurance:
I hold professional indemnity insurance for coaching services, including health-related emotional resilience coaching.
3. Payment, Cancellations & Refunds
Payment Terms
All coaching sessions or packages must be paid in advance. I accept payment via….
Prices are listed in GBP (£) and may be updated at any time.
Cancellations
- You may reschedule a session with at least 48 hours’ notice
- Less than 48 hours’ notice may result in the session being charged in full unless there are exceptional circumstances (at my discretion)
Refunds
- No refunds are given for completed sessions
- If you cancel before the first session of a package, you may request a full refund minus transaction fees
- If you need to stop mid-programme, unused sessions may be refunded at my discretion in exceptional situations
4. Confidentiality
Coaching sessions are confidential. I will never share your information without your consent, except in the following situations:
- There is a legal or safeguarding obligation (e.g., if you disclose risk of serious harm to yourself or others)
- I discuss anonymised aspects of my work in professional supervision, in line with coaching best practice
5. Data Privacy & UK GDPR Compliance
Your personal data is handled with care and in compliance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What Data I Collect
- Name and contact details
- Emergency contact details (if relevant)
- Health or background information you choose to share
- Session notes (kept confidentially)
- Payment information (processed securely via [INSERT PROVIDER])
- Website or funnel data (cookies/analytics)
Why I Collect It
- To provide coaching services and communicate with you
- To keep reflective coaching notes
- To comply with legal, safeguarding, tax, and accounting requirements
- To improve services and manage my business

6. How Your Data is Stored
Your data is stored securely:

- Any paper notes (if used) are kept locked away securely
I do not sell or share your data for marketing purposes.
7. Data Retention
I keep coaching records for up to 7 years after your final session. You can request deletion sooner unless there is a safeguarding, legal, or tax reason that requires retention.
8. Your Rights Under UK GDPR
You have the right to:
- Access your data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion
- Restrict or object to how your data is used
- Withdraw consent
- Lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at www.ico.org.uk
